Ty for 3,500,000 views!
They bought the hair salon adjacent, so now this is a slightly more super sized pizza parlor.
👉They have ice cream machine 🍨🍦
I stop by here every couple months.
Usually, a burger with 🧀 / mayo.

My 5-star rating is for this stromboli:
Take a look at my pics.
Bake Quality › 10/10
Order Consistency › 10/10
Taste › 8/10
Filling ⟩ Gyro meat, tomato sauce, provolone, feta
Order this if ⟩ you're feeling indecisive and want a full belly.
**Trust Ben Wyatt! The Calzone CAN be your friend. The stromboli is his big brother.
Staff › Friendly, polite and kind. Just lovely people.
Cons: Will not feed a family of 4 during a Zombie Apocalypse
Pros: Will feed YOU during a Zombie Apocalypse.
Added a fork to the pics for scale.
REVIEW 2:
Cheddar Burger with Mayo!
Burger's well done and less on the moist side, more focused on overall doneness.
The buns are Italian bread.
Fairly tasty 🍔.
I probably should ask to get the bun toasted the next time I'm in.
Honestly, I'll give this 3 1/2 stars. Mama Meatballs is known for a chock full o' meats award-winning pizza that's been nominated locally a bunch of times. But in both full transparency and emotional uptick, I just like a moist burger. Also, when I'm hungry and can get this in 10 minutes, it's a four 🙃🙂
April Ludgate may choose this burger.
NEXT UP:
They recently redid their menu and offer soft serve ice cream, with a dedicated machine and double flavor pours.
Idk anyone who doesn't like soft serve.
Wanting to drift from my Häagen-Dazs ways, I can see this being a good alt to Charlie's Soft Ice Cream in Monroeville.
Will try this next time I'm in. I'll lyk if it's better than Paige's too.
That's all for now - follow me on Maps for my upcoming newsletter!
New to area and first pizza I tried. It was good! They got my order right which you’d be surprised how often pizza shops don’t. There could be a touch more cheese on the sicilian. Sauce tasty, crust good. Overall I’m satisfied and will order again, I’m interested to explore the menu further. I can’t really speak to the service or atmosphere yet, it was moving day and I sent my son to pick up. I will say that the person who took my order over the phone was friendly enough.
What a delightful experience we had at this family-owned pizzeria today! From the moment we stepped in, we felt like cherished guests. The owner's warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, and we were pleasantly surprised when they offered us free meatballs as it was our first time there – a truly heartwarming gesture and amazingly delicious!!
Now, onto the pizza – we ordered the large supreme, and it was fantastic! The flavors were a symphony of deliciousness, and the ingredients were fresh and abundant. It's evident that they take great pride in their craft.
But it's not just about the food; it's about the personal touch and genuine hospitality. The owner Bruno and his wife Shannon took the time to sit down and chat with us, making our visit feel like a memorable family gathering.
This pizza shop is a hidden gem, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for delicious pizza, friendly faces, and a warm atmosphere, look no further. Five stars all the way! 🍕🌟👨👩👧👦
My wife and I have been ordering delivery from here since we moved to Forest Hills about a year ago. It's always been great. Today we decided to go into the place and try eating at their outdoor dining. It was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and it was fun to have an ice cream treat while we waited for our food. The food was amazing, probably even better than when we have it delivered. We will definitely be back!
My first visit. Will certainly return. The meatball sliders were really delicious, the salad was huge, everything was fresh, the meat and cheese were great quality and the presentation was great. The vege pizza was loaded with cheese and a great assortment of vegetables. The crust was soft and the red pizza sauce was perfect.
This will be out to go pizza place going forward.
The food was really tasty and the portions were quite large. Good size menu with quality options. The food is a little on the expensive side, though, especially when compared to other local options. I tried their plain cheese calzone and chocolate mousse cake.
One thing I really appreciate is that they allow you to add on dessert (which changes from day to day) to a delivery order over the phone. The process was pretty smooth and the employees were quite friendly.
My calzone was almost $17. This is more than most other places I visit, and a significant amount more than Shelly Pie (you can get a massive Shellzone and a dessert for the price of just a calzone at Mama Meatball's). Other than that, it was a great calzone. There was plenty of cheese, both ricotta and provolone (not sure if they used mozzarella). There wasn't any sauce served on the side or on the inside (I'd have liked a $17 calzone to at least come with sauce, which Shelly's comes with a whole cup full of delicious sauce).
The dessert was pretty decent. Again, on the pricier end, but it was homemade and tasty. The chocolate cake was moist and the mousse was flavorful. I just didn't find it amazing. They also have ice cream and brownies.
All in all, the food is tasty. But, ultimately (and even though portions are large) the price is just a bit too high. Shelly's makes similar food at much cheaper prices, and probably bigger portions. Still good calzone and dessert, though.
Just wanted to give Mama Meatballs a raving review! Last night we ordered a pierogie pizza with bacon, garlic knots, Italian hoagies,Buffalo chicken ranch fries, and a garden salad. Everything was truly spectacular! Our guests were very impressed! The girl who took our order and then helped my daughter with the pick up is so genuinely kind and very efficient! She is a perfect addition to their fantastic team! This place treats you like family!
As an Italian visiting Pittsburgh for the first time, among the other Italian restaurants, Mama Meatballs surely stands out! Meatballs are delicious, ingredients fresh, from tomato sauce, to chicken and toppings. Bruno will make you feel …
